Fire Door Inspection and Compliance: Record Evidence
A useful inspection record identifies the door, describes the observed condition, records checks and measurements where relevant, and states the action required. Check the leaf, frame, gaps, hinges, closer, latch, seals, glazing and surrounding wall junction. Distinguish observed facts from suspected causes and record photographs where useful. Scope and frequency should follow the building’s arrangements and applicable guidance. See inspection and maintenance, fault finding and the Knowledge Centre.
