About Proudman Fire
Proudman Fire was founded to improve how fire door compliance is achieved and maintained in real-world conditions.
With over 30 years’ experience as a joiner and more than 8 years working specifically with fire doors, founder Eddie Proudman has seen first-hand how difficult it is to maintain compliance once a door is installed.
Inspections often rely on cutting, prying, filler, and redecoration — creating damage, disruption, and unnecessary cost.
There had to be a better way.
Our Approach
Inspired by adjustable systems commonly used in metal doors, Proudman Fire re-engineered the concept specifically for timber doorsets.
The result is a patented fire door frame adjuster with a unique intumescent lid, combined with a detachable inspection architrave that enables non-destructive access.
Together, these systems allow fire doors to remain accessible, adjustable, and compliant throughout their lifecycle.
